Oh dear friend! Last night we made love;
Me and my wife, sweating and rolling.
We kissed the moon; and she murmured,
Something close to her heart, in my ears.
Oh dear friend! Today I bought her chocolates.
She smiled at me and took one; just one.
Her hands were shivering; she gazed at it,
And turned around, and then walked away.
Oh dear friend! Last year she was conceived.
My office phone left an emergency.
I rushed to the hospital, the operation theatre;
Doctor called a name, to say congrats.
Oh dear friend! Every time I lie to my son,
Mummy doesn’t love chocolates.
I said, then, doctor ‘she calls me like this’,
The name she murmured hazily, Yours!
Oh dear friend! I still Love her.
Oh dear friend! I still live for her.
